About The Position

Royal Oak is looking for a Packaging Technician D. This position is responsible for the operation of the machines required to package charcoal briquets. Packaging technicians are able to operate one of the following pieces of equipment; Scales, Bagger, Sewing Machine, Checkweigher, Bundler, Robot, Wrapper, and/or Trunkline.

Requirements

• LOTO Certified within 14-days of position/hire
• May involve repetitive movements
• Lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling as necessary
• Due to the open environment of the packaging area, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions

Responsibilities

• Operation of the machines required to package charcoal briquets
• Operate one of the following pieces of equipment; Scales, Bagger, Sewing Machine, Checkweigher, Bundler, Robot, Wrapper, and/or Trunkline
• Able to operate equipment at standard run rates
• Able to identify critical elements on each machine
• Able to perform basic corrective actions
• Able to perform a change over w/ assistance
• Maintain a clean work area
• Identify quality issues
