About The Position

Here at Mars, we have an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking employment to come and join our Royal Canin factory team as a Packaging Operator. Address: 920 Arctic Drive Lebanon, TN 37090 The Packaging Operator will be a multi-skilled packing associate who is responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our packing lines whilst ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are maintained. The Packaging Operator will also play a pivotal role in identifying and delivering continuous improvement projects within the packaging hall. Shift: This role will be a night position on D-Shift. All positions are 12-hour schedules. 4-days on and 4-days off set schedule. Nights: 6:00 pm to 6:30 am Days: 6:00 am to 6:30 pm

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience in food manufacturing environment and operating high speed packing machines.
Ability to multi-task

Mechanical background desirable, but not essential

Responsibilities

Ensuring the efficient operation of automated packing machines.
Setting up automated packing machines, loading packing materials, making machine adjustments, and ensuring proper sanitation.
Clearing machine jams, reworking defective packaging, troubleshooting machine faults, and maintaining glue and ink supplies.
Performing and documenting quality checks throughout the packaging process.
Ensures compliance with all Quality, Food Safety, and Legislative standards.
Following safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, to safely conduct equipment operations and routine maintenance.
Completing Cleaning, Inspection, and Lubrication (CIL) tasks according to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to maintain equipment functionality and cleanliness.
This role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to manage equipment autonomously.
The position holder is trained to perform other jobs consistent with the skill level and physical demands of this position.
