About The Position

The Label Technician will be responsible for creating Compliance and Strain Labels for a variety of media. This role involves defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos. The technician will shape the visual aspects of product packaging, exhibitions, and more, developing compliant labels according to standards set by the compliance department to capture attention and communicate the right message. The role also includes maintaining and building a packaging file library, copyediting, proofreading, and creating proprietary patterns and designs for packaging, apparel, website assets, and social media. The technician will take ideas from brainstorming to final production in print and digital, handle a large volume of revisions, prioritize projects, and steward the brand's visual identity, ensuring all designs are compliant and pass state approvals.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US
Understands and speaks print language, colors, and finishes
1+ years of product photography masking and touch-up experience
Proven graphic designing experience
A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
Familiarity with design software and technologies
2+ years of experience in packaging design
All applicants must be 21 years or older
State/Federal background checks are required

Nice To Haves

Render experience preferred but not required
Bachelors degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field is a plus

Responsibilities

Create label designs for all products and packaging
Prep, Proof and edit all packaging artwork files
Maintain and build a packaging file library of all artwork files
Copywrite and proof-read all artwork files for 100% accuracy
Create proprietary patterns and designs to be used in the design
Responsible for creating graphic assets to be used on packaging, apparel, website assets, social media
Take an idea from brainstorming to final production in print and digital
Successfully executes a large volume of revisions to an asset with minimal oversight
Prioritize projects and workload for all team members, to meet critical deadlines
Work on multiple assets from packaging to marketing collateral
Steward the visual identity, typography, palette, photography, and principal design systems of the brand; evolving where necessary
Ensure all designs are compliant and will pass state approvals
Performs other duties as assigned
