Packaging Department Coordinator

Job Summary This position supports the operation of the Packaging Department with labor planning/training and production resourcing.
Requirements
- Associate Degree or above in manufacturing related field preferred. Will consider combination of education and work experience which includes time in lead role in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Experience with unionized work environment preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong background in people skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Selected candidate will be assigned a primary shift, but must have flexibility for working hours, including weekends when necessary to cover the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
- Plan weekly and daily staffing schedules, including planned time off and training hours
- Record all overtime and call ins on absentee sheets
- Assist in completion of performance reviews
- Plan daily and weekly schedules for cleaning
- Keep weekly inventories and order department materials/supplies
- Maintain distribution of documents related to production
- Assist with GMP/Sanitation audits and inspections and follow up with corrective actions
- Review of department documentation for accuracy/completion
- Process/translate large amounts of data using pivot tables, graphs and other forms of analysis for management reporting
