About The Position

A packaging coordinator designs, develops, and tests packaging for products, focusing on protection, efficiency, cost, and sustainability to ensure items safely reach consumers.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 Years of related experience in MRP, Inventory Management (including cycle counting) and material cost.

Responsibilities

  • Packaging Planning & Coordination
  • Develop and maintain packaging schedules to meet production and shipping deadlines.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of packaging materials.
  • Inventory Management
  • Monitor stock levels of packaging supplies and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of packaging material usage and inventory.
  • Cycle counting
  • Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all packaging meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Inspect packaging for defects and work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare and maintain packaging specifications, labeling requirements, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations related to packaging.
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to optimize packaging processes for cost efficiency and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to implement new packaging solutions.
  • Vendor Coordination
  • Communicate with packaging suppliers regarding orders, delivery schedules, and quality concerns.
  • Negotiate pricing and service agreements when necessary.
  • Reporting
  • Generate regular reports on packaging performance, costs, and inventory status.
  • Provide updates to management on packaging-related issues and improvements.
  • Team Support
  • Train and support staff on proper packaging procedures and standards.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to resolve packaging-related challenges.
