About The Position

The Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG) upholds NSW children and young people’s right to be safe by overseeing, regulating and monitoring organisations and individuals that provide services to children. The People and Culture Business Partner will support the myWorkZone transition for P&C from legacy systems, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to drive the change, and supporting the roll out of training to staff. The role translates business needs into practical people strategies, proactively identifies and mitigates people risks associated with system and process change, and ensures alignment with policy, legislation, and contemporary P&C practices. The P&C Business Partner also supports leaders to navigate change impacts, build change capability, and sustain new ways of working post‑implementation. We are seeking a motivated and resilient person to: Act as the People and Culture support for the myWorkZone transition, ensuring the OCG’s establishment and HR systems, processes and reporting are set up correctly, testing compliance with the new system and helping to roll out training. Working closely with the finance and internal stakeholders to test and refine the new system, ensuring it meets business requirements and addressing risks. Regular progress reporting to the Director People and Culture and Director Corporate Services to raise issues and risks and support strategic decision-making. Ensure P&C practices related to the transition are compliant with relevant legislation, policies, industrial instruments, and NSW Government frameworks.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading a myWorkZone transition within another NSW Government agency.
  • Sound experience working with NSW Government systems, including GovConnect, myWorkZone, and SAP.
  • Proven experience leading the delivery, coordination, and project management of HR‑related initiatives and projects.
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence stakeholders quickly.
  • Demonstrated experience leading organisational change and workforce transitions in complex environments.
  • Proven experience contributing to the transition or implementation of myWorkZone or similar enterprise HRIS/HRM solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent depth of relevant professional experience.
  • Employment at the Office of the Children’s Guardian is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and vetting checks.
  • All roles associated with the Office of the Children's Guardian are required to have a current NSW Working with Children Check.
