About The Position

This is a position that requires some out of state and overnight travel, at least 25% of the time. Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. Under the direction of the Electrical Manager, the Traveling Electrical Assistant will be an integral part of the team, helping to complete electrical panel builds. This role involves coordinating panel builds according to project schedules by assisting the panel builder and other electrical team members. Effective communication with the lead panel builder is essential to ensure panels are built correctly according to schematics and on schedule.

Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license.
Have excellent communication skills with the ability to interact well with others.
Ability to use common hand tools and power tools commonly used in panel building.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously; attention to details with strong organization skills.
Must be able to be willing to go into customer sites and facilities that may be, at times, dirty and hot/cold environments while working on equipment and assisting with machine installation/wiring for the customer.
Basic computer skills.
Must be proficient with the use of power tools, hand tools, and measuring tools common to panel building.
Willingness to travel out of state and overnight at least 25% of the time.
Will be required to undergo a physical evaluation.
Motor Vehicle Report must not include any of the following violations (during the most recent 3 year period unless otherwise stated): Felony involving the use of a motor vehicle, Speeding 20 or more over the posted speed limit, Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DWI/DUI) in the last five years, Driving with an open container, Driving with a suspended or fraudulent license, Reckless driving, Passing a stopped school bus, Leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run), Vehicular homicide/manslaughter, Aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, Eluding a police officer, Drag racing, Operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission (grand theft auto), Permitting an unlicensed or intoxicated driver to drive, 3 or more moving violations in the last 3 years, 2 or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the last year.

Responsibilities

Ensure focus on safety when completing tasks.
Help read and understand the panel electrical schematics and technical documents related to components in the panel build.
Assist in wiring panels accurately to schematics while being detail oriented with wiring.
Work alongside panel builders while staying on task to complete panel builds on schedule.
Communicate effectively with leads on questions or concerns while maintaining a team atmosphere.
Ensure all panels are wired correctly and within the panel build schedule with the help of a panel builder.
Keep hand and power tools clean and in good working order.
Must be proficient with the use of power tools, hand tools, and measuring tools common to panel building.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor accurately and within the given schedule.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned.
