Capstone Research Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support and lead radar technology programs. This role includes work in modeling, simulation, and analysis; hardware and software prototyping; and the development, integration, and testing of advanced systems, including surveillance and fire control radars, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and RF datalinks. The ideal candidate will have experience across the full system lifecycle – from concept development through integration and test – and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment supporting cutting-edge defense technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong knowledge in radar systems
  • Experience with object-oriented software development
  • Experience with MATLAB and C++
  • Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active security clearance
  • Must reside in the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate
  • Must be willing/able to travel up to 25% of the year

Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise in areas such as electromagnetics, digital signal processing, firmware, controls, electronic warfare (EW), software development, and modeling and simulation to support radar and RF system development
  • Perform modeling and simulation, radar/weapons systems analysis, algorithm development, RF hardware integration, HWIL support, and field testing
  • Develop and analyze models of radar and communications systems, including RF environments (clutter, atmospherics), EA/EP, and integrated kill chains
  • Conduct radar and weapons system performance analysis, including probability of detection/false alarm, waveform analysis, probability of intercept, and defended area assessments
  • Design and implement algorithms for detection, signal processing, clutter mitigation, beamforming, and target identification/classification
  • Support development, integration, and testing of RF hardware systems, including antennas, receivers, transmitters, processors, and lab equipment
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists
  • Communicate technical concepts, results, and recommendations clearly to customers, teammates, and leadership
