About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Tech to join their Fibrebond team in Minden, LA. The role involves starting in Electrical Prefab, learning basic electrical parts and safety, and being introduced to hand and power tools. The technician will need to demonstrate basic math skills and high attention to detail, working in a manufacturing environment on their feet all day while shadowing and assisting established electrical crews. The position expects the individual to gain knowledge in blueprint reading and train on beginning electrical skills such as installation of conduit and electrical components. Fibrebond, an Eaton company, designs and manufactures pre-integrated modular buildings and power enclosures that protect mission critical equipment for data center, industrial, utility, and communications customers. Headquartered in Minden, Louisiana, Fibrebond is known for its engineered to order solutions that support complex infrastructure projects across North America. In 2025, Fibrebond was acquired by Eaton, expanding Eaton’s modular solutions portfolio while preserving Fibrebond’s strong engineering expertise, customer focus, and manufacturing operations in Louisiana.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation).
  • Basic shop math skills and the ability to read and use a tape measure.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
  • Must possess a strong, verifiable track record of attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets.
  • Energetic and willing to follow established policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Some electrical experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and kit electrical parts.
  • Stock and set up electrical wire carts.
  • Install and cover receptacles and switches.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by crew leader or supervisor.
