Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Job SummaryThis is an on-site OVERNIGHT Receptionist/Aide position located in Shrewsbury, MO. Our mission is to provide a safe and welcoming space for our retired priests to live in community with one another. This position is part time, 20 hours per week. The shifts are as follows: Friday night into Saturday morning, 11 pm – 7 am; Saturday night into Sunday morning, 11 pm – 7 am; and Tuesday evenings, 7 pm – 11 pm. The front office schedule is made monthly and extra available shifts will be offered to team members in advance as well as urgent needs to cover vacation and sick time of other team members.Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for answering telephones; logging and directing visitors; serving and assisting priests with minor administrative and/or health-related tasks, such as making copies or giving eyedrops; handling emergencies by contacting leadership and working with emergency services; light housekeeping, including cleaning floors and bathrooms in the common areas; and other miscellaneous responsibilities that vary based on exact hours worked. Job RequirementsSchedule: The schedule is made monthly. The front office is open 24/7. Shifts are typically 4 or 8 hours: 7 am - 3 pm, 3 pm - 11 pm, and 11pm - 7 am. This position is part time, 20 hours per week. The shifts are as follows: Friday night into Saturday morning, 11 pm – 7 am; Saturday night into Sunday morning, 11 pm – 7 am; and Tuesday evenings, 7 pm – 11 pm.

Requirements

  • Minimum Age Requirement: 21 years’ old
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Willingness to be of assistance to others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including reading and comprehending written and digital communications
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand and sit for periods of time as needed to complete job responsibilities
  • Ability to be gentle and compassionate in communicating with retired priests
  • Provide excellent customer service, especially to visitors and during mealtimes
  • Work well with front office manager, executive chef, nurse, administrator, and other team members at Regina Cleri Community
