About The Position

Join our vibrant team at The Mather, where we create meaningful moments every day. As a Lobby Receptionist, you’ll be the first point of contact for residents, families, and guests—providing a warm welcome, ensuring safety, and delivering exceptional concierge services. This is a full-time hourly position. Overnight, weekend, and holiday availability required. The Mather is a Life Plan Community in Tysons, Virginia, for those 62 and better that defies expectations of what senior living is supposed to be. More than a luxury residence, The Mather is in an enviable walkable, urban neighborhood, close to the Metro and all the DC area has to offer. Opened in March 2024, The Mather includes 293 independent living apartment homes, as well as assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing, along with multiple restaurants, a fitness center, art studio, gardens and more. The Mather is located at 7929 Westpark Drive, Tysons. Based in Evanston, Illinois, Mather is a unique, non-denominational, not-for-profit organization founded in 1941. Dedicated to developing and implementing Ways to Age WellSM, we create programs, places, and residences for today’s young-at-heart older adults. Requirements

College or equivalent experience.
Experience working with older adults.
Willingness to be part of a self-directed team.
Valid drivers' license and excellent driving record.
Service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task.
MS Office proficiency.

Nice To Haves

College degree.
Concierge services experience.

Responsibilities

Greet residents, visitors, and team members with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Provide concierge services including information, assistance, and coordination of resident requests.
Monitor lobby area to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Support transportation coordination for residents in a safe and enjoyable manner.
Provides administrative support for the update, storage and distribution of directories, Concierge handbook, safety and emergency procedures, parking assignments, training materials and participation, and other documents.
Collaborate with a self-directed team to ensure seamless front desk operations.
Demonstrate “Nextraordinary” service behaviors that enhance the resident experience.
