About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Overnight Public Attendant to join our housekeeping team at our luxury resort. This role is vital in ensuring that all public spaces, lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and outdoor areas remain impeccably clean, tidy, and welcoming throughout the night and into the early morning. The Overnight Public Area Attendant plays a key role in upholding our exceptional standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction, providing a pristine environment for arriving guests and supporting seamless operations in our fast-paced hospitality setting.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in housekeeping, public area cleaning, or a similar role in a hotel/resort.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods, including pushing/pulling cleaning carts and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals is an asset.
  • Excellent reliability and punctuality; must be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, guest-focused attitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the Cayman Islands (preference given to Caymanians and Permanent Residents).

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, public restrooms, restaurants, bars, pool decks, and outdoor terraces.
  • Dust, polish, and wipe down furniture, fixtures, glass surfaces, mirrors, and decorative items.
  • Vacuum carpets, sweep, mop, and buff hard-surface floors to maintain a polished appearance.
  • Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and ensure proper disposal of waste.
  • Clean and sanitize public restrooms, replenishing supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, towels, and amenities.
  • Monitor and respond promptly to any spills, stains, or maintenance issues in public spaces.
  • Restock housekeeping carts and storage areas in preparation for the day shift team.
  • Perform light outdoor duties, such as sweeping walkways, removing debris, and ensuring entrance areas are presentable.
  • Conduct regular patrols of public areas to maintain standards and address any guest needs that may arise overnight.
  • Follow all health, safety, and chemical handling procedures, including the proper use of cleaning agents and equipment.
  • Adhere to resort sustainability practices, such as energy conservation and waste reduction.
  • Assist with occasional setup or breakdown of event spaces if required during the shift.
