About The Position

KRE Security, a locally owned regional security company, is seeking a professional, compassionate, and dependable Security Officer to provide full-time security coverage at an all-female residential shelter . This role is critical in maintaining a safe, respectful, and trauma-informed environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply due to the nature of the facility and resident population.

Requirements

• Clean background check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic in sensitive situations
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in shelters, residential facilities, healthcare, or security
• Training or experience in de-escalation, trauma-informed care, or crisis response

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and calm security presence throughout the facility
• Control access to the shelter and monitor entrances and exits
• Conduct routine patrols of common areas and grounds
• Enforce shelter policies while treating all residents with dignity and respect
• De-escalate conflicts and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies
• Work collaboratively with shelter staff and leadership
• Complete daily logs and incident reports accurately and timely
