About The Position

As an Outside Security Service Sales Renewals Representative, you will be the face of Johnson Controls to our customers—owning and growing long‑term service relationships within an assigned territory. You will drive renewal retention, identify expansion opportunities, and help customers protect their people, property, and assets through our industry‑leading security service solutions. This role is ideal for a relationship‑driven sales professional who enjoys being in the field, understands the value of recurring service agreements, and thrives on partnering directly with customers to deliver value over time.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Commercial outside sales, account management, or customer‑facing sales roles.
  • Proven success managing a geographic territory and meeting or exceeding sales or renewal targets
  • Strong relationship‑building, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating cross‑functionally
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in security systems, fire systems, building technologies, or service‑based industries
  • Background in service agreement renewals, recurring revenue, or contract‑based sales models
  • Understanding of service contracts, pricing structures, and customer lifecycle management
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a defined territory of existing security service customers through in‑person engagement
  • Proactively drive service contract renewals, ensuring high retention and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct regular on‑site customer visits to review service performance, understand business needs, and strengthen partnerships
  • Prepare and present renewal proposals, pricing options, and service recommendations aligned to customer priorities
  • Partner closely with service operations, technicians, and account managers to ensure consistent service delivery and issue resolution
  • Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within the installed base and collaborate with sales teams to close incremental business
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipelines, and customer activity in CRM systems
  • Resolve contract, pricing, and service‑related concerns with a consultative, customer‑first approach
  • Represent Johnson Controls professionally in the field, reinforcing trust, credibility, and long‑term value
