Housby is looking for a motivated and self-driven individual to sell heavy duty truck parts to external customers in the local territory, in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined with the ability and willingness to learn basics of new technical subjects.
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to maintain an orderly work environment.
  • Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Skilled in multi-tasking, including the ability to be flexible and adapt to change quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends, when needed.
  • Capable of operating a forklift safely.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and create good customer and internal relationships.
  • Provide parts to external customers.
  • Call on established and prospective accounts:
  • Primary contact between customer and dealership.
  • Provide information to customers about promotions, products, inventory, and policies.
  • Look for additional sales while at customer locations.
  • Deliver and pick up merchandise from customer locations.
  • Work within MAPP to ensure that all the fields are kept up to date with the correct customer information to help develop a sales plan.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide price quotes and other information related to new parts.
  • Plan territory coverage and call upon key accounts, current and prospective, regularly.
  • Determine customer needs to offer the most appropriate product or service.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of products, services, pricing, promotions, procedures, and other important topics through formal training and management communication.
  • Take parts orders and provide literature as necessary
  • Forward any possible leads for sales or service to the appropriate person.
  • Upkeep company vehicle:
  • Wash vehicle as often as needed to keep clean.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to Parts Manager immediately.
  • Maintain scheduled services to maximize the life of the vehicle.
  • Submit weekly activity/call reports in CRM Software (Salesforce) concerning customer-related activities.
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with the customers, specifically in the metro area.
  • Provide high level of service to internal and external customers.
  • Complete invoicing for customers.
  • Assist with inventory management and other related activities as directed by the Parts Manager.
  • Participate in job-related training and development.
  • Maintain a professional image at all times.
