About The Position

Help individuals and families in your role as a counselor at Chestnut. This full-time position is based in Bloomington, IL. Primarily weekdays/daytime hours.

Requirements

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field with at least 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience.
• Basic computer experience including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat; and an electronic medical record.
• Must have valid driver's license, private auto insurance, and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy indicated in treatment/recovery/safety plan. Includes individual, family and group counseling.
• Facilitate skills and educational groups.
• Develop master treatment plans and continuing care plans.
• Maintain contact with clients' collaterals (e.g. probation, family members, psychiatrist).
• Testify in court when requested.
• Demonstrate project management capability or leadership potential.
• Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness and spirituality/connectedness.
