The Rehab Technician is a non-licensed caregiver who works under the direction of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, and/or Assistant to aid in the provision of patient care. The technician will be involved with patient preparation, components of certain interventions, and post-treatment procedures. Specific tasks will be determined by the specific therapy provider, Physical Therapy (PT,) Occupational Therapy (OT,) or Speech Language Pathology (SLP). The Technician attends to the daily tasks of departmental organization and upkeep. The Technician will be expected to perform various clerical, regulatory, and environment of care duties on a regular basis. The rehab technician may serve as an office coordinator or liaison when requested by the department leader.
