About The Position

Occupational Therapist at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full time and will work 10-hour, Day shift. Evaluates, plans, directs and administers medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. Assists patient to reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capacities. Performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance improvement, Infection control, and safety and education programs. The staff Occupational Therapist also assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Occupational Therapist Assistants and may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual. Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of the American Occupational Therapy Association training program.
  • Coursework/Training: Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
  • California Occupational Therapist License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, and/or subacute care settings.

Responsibilities
