The Occupational Therapist I (Outpatient) is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients referred to the facility. This includes patient evaluation, development and implementation of an appropriate treatment plan, delivery of treatment services, and comprehensive discharge planning. The therapist functions as an effective team member and contributes to the development and achievement of department and organizational goals and objectives. The therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients in the Assistive Technology Resource Center & Specialty Wheelchair Seating Clinic. The therapist is part of a transdisciplinary team that collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to provide comprehensive services throughout the care continuum. The Assistive Technology Resource Center & Specialty Wheelchair Seating Clinic provides services to inpatient and outpatient individuals with neurological, developmental, and non-neurological conditions. In this role you will perform specialty evaluations, develop and implement an appropriate treatment plan, provide recommendations for complex rehab technology equipment, deliver treatment services, and engage in comprehensive discharge planning.
