About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Outpatient LPN for a 12-week contract assignment in Rochester, NY. This role is based in a fast-paced outpatient clinic/urgent care setting with potential floating to other clinic locations. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Rotating Saturdays 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) ( 40 hours ) The LPN will: Provide patient care in outpatient and urgent care settings, including genitourinary/renal and general medical services Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, medication administration (oral, IM, SQ, subcutaneous), and blood glucose testing Conduct EKG/ECG testing and assist with cardiac monitoring and emergency response Assist with procedures including sterile/aseptic tray setup, specimen collection, and simple dressing changes Perform telephone triage, follow-up calls, and medication reconciliation Educate patients and assist with health questionnaires, histories, and allergy documentation Communicate with pharmacies regarding refill requests and prescriptions Interpret laboratory results and ensure proper labeling of specimens Administer vaccines and collect throat/nasopharyngeal specimens Float to various family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatric clinic locations as needed

Requirements

  • Active LPN licensure
  • BLS certification required
  • Outpatient clinic and/or urgent care experience required
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records required
  • Strong clinical skills including EKGs, injections, specimen collection, and patient assessments
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible, dependable, and strong communication skills
  • Willingness to float to multiple clinic locations
  • Must pass pre-employment health clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Ambulatory and pediatric experience preferred
