About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a part-time (24 hours/week - flexible schedule) Registered Dietitian for an Outpatient Diabetes Education position at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Hazleton , PA . This is a great opportunity to work with other skilled Diabetes Educators at the AADE-accredited Diabetes and Endocrinology Center, where quality patient care is the top priority. CDCES is NOT required; candidates should have a strong interest in diabetes care. This is a hybrid role with two days on-site and one day remote each week. Provide education to general medical nutrition therapy patients (20% of the time) Provide insulin pump and glucose monitor training to patients Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions with overall improvement in clinical outcomes Provide professional staff education to ensure the safe management and care of clients and families Participate in quality improvement projects and regulatory compliance within the department What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Requirements

Registered Dietitian licensed in Pennsylvania
Experience in providing education to people with diabetes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and interdisciplinary team members at all levels
Proven ability to effectively engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition
Commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas
Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
