About The Position

The Physical Therapist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing medically prescribed treatment programs for patients to restore functions, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease or injury. This professional-level position gives you the capacity for independent operations as you apply discretion and good judgment toward ensuring high-quality therapeutic care. Requirements

  • Successful completion of a physical therapy program at a school of physical therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association or both; If licensed or registered prior to 1966, meets the alternative qualifications cited in the Medicare Conditions of Participation, Section 405, 12 or (1) (2) (3) (4)
  • Licensed in the State of Washington as a physical therapist
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Current Washington state driver’s license
  • Minimum of one (1) year of physical therapy experience

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with frail or elderly population preferred
  • Experience in Medicare Certified Home Health preferred

Responsibilities

  • You will provide skilled physical therapy in accordance with the physician’s plan of care
  • You will treat patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function and maintain maximum performance
  • You will observe, record and report the patient’s reaction to treatment and any changes in condition
  • You will instruct and advise patients, family and other health team members in the phases of physical therapy
  • You will evaluate and regularly re-evaluate
