Events - Outbound Sales Executive

About The Position

The Outbound Event Sales Executive is a sales exclusively focused role dedicated to proactive B2B revenue generation for private events at Megaplex. The primary duty is to identify, prospect, and close high-value business clients for the following but not limited to: large-scale meetings, employee appreciation or holiday parties, client appreciation events, full venue buyouts, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 1–3 years of related sales experience required, specifically within hospitality, cinema, or event planning industries.
  • Proven ability to function well in a high-paced, high-volume outbound business environment.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • Present a professional, well-groomed, and businesslike appearance during all interactions and working hours.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and handle prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with current CRM/Event management software is a plus (Caterease, Zoho, Vista).

Responsibilities

  • Proactively build and maintain a network of business sources to identify and qualify new sales leads through consistent cold calling and professional networking.
  • Communicate with corporate decision-makers to identify event requirements for venue buyouts or appreciation events and suggest appropriate Megaplex services, including AV packages and full-service catering.
  • Coordinate with Senior Events Management and Theatre General Managers to ensure space availability and business alignment before transitioning qualified corporate leads to the on-site activation team for execution.
  • Conduct virtual site tours and remote presentations to demonstrate venue functions and utility to potential business clients.
  • Maintain 100% accurate reports of all sales activities within the current company software suite, utilizing Caterease for BEO creation and Zoho for payment tracking.
  • Utilize Vista (Cinema Manager) to check auditorium availability and show schedules to ensure event timing aligns with business sales reporting needs.
  • Provide weekly territory sales forecasts to the Senior Manager of Events and assess actual performance versus established revenue goals for the fiscal year.
  • Adhere to a strict "pure sales" focus; on-site event execution and physical tours are conducted by separate activation teams unless otherwise directed by a direct report.
  • All other job duties, tasks, or assignments assigned by the Senior Events Manager.
