About The Position

The Outbound Order Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of outbound orders. This position plays a critical role in the distribution center operations by managing pick tickets, resolving inventory discrepancies, processing invoices, and assisting supervisory staff in verifying orders prior to shipment. The Outbound Order Clerk works during overnight hours to support early morning distribution activities.

Requirements

  • Hours of Operation: Sunday through Friday 8pm-5am. After-hours work is required occasionally throughout the year especially during peak times such as holiday seasons, growing seasons, and disaster response. Frequent after-hours work is required relating to special events.
  • Environment: Involves activities in both office and warehouse environments with exposure to the climate and South Florida weather. There are extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, and bending, listening, talking, and/or visual concentration. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Travel: This position will have minor travel requirements for company events and training.
  • OSHA Standards Lifting requirements are 50 pounds and when lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all pick tickets are accurately printed and distributed to warehouse staff in a timely manner.
  • Identify, resolve and report inventory discrepancies and system issues to prevent order fulfillment delays.
  • Generate and verify that all invoices are properly printed and posted to the order management system.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse supervisor to verify order accuracy and completeness before items are loaded for shipment.
  • Monitor order status and communicate with warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations and timely order processing.
  • Manage daily shipping dashboard ensuring routes, pallet count and orders are accurate.
  • Provide updates in form of reports at end of shift with total volume.
  • Maintain food safety standards by USDA, DOH, OSHA, and other regulatory bodies; participate in safety programs and sanitation procedures.
  • Follow good warehousing practices at all times, including maintaining clean work areas, adhering to personal hygiene standards, properly storing and handling materials, and reporting sanitation concerns.
  • Support all other warehouse functions including receiving, inventory management, and replenishment as needed.
  • Inspect products for quality, expiration dates, and contamination; accurately report and record salvageable and unsalvageable inventory.
  • Assist other shifts, departments, and operational areas based on business needs and priorities.
  • Clean and organize designated areas in preparation for next shift.
  • Report safety hazards and be an ambassador for safety in the workplace.
  • Meet productivity and accuracy standards as established by management.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
