About The Position

The OT Systems & Infrastructure Specialis t is responsible for integrating, maintaining, and optimizing UOSA’s operational technology (OT) systems, with a focus on SCADA connectivity, real time operational data, and digital asset monitoring. This role supports predictive maintenance initiatives, enhances operational system reliability, and enables advanced capabilities such as digital twins and proactive process optimization—all core elements of UOSA’s digital transformation objectives as outlined in the RFP. Supports predictive maintenance, operational system integration, and plant data integration

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SCADA, OT systems, or industrial control system integration (aligned with RFP experience requirements).
  • Hands-on experience working with OT platforms such as AVEVA System Platform, PI System, or comparable technologies.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations, industrial automation, instrumentation, and real-time system communication.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools, digital twin principles, and asset monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for OT environments (NIST 800.82).
  • Strong communication, documentation, and cross team coordination skills (RFP Section 2.5 & 2.6).

Responsibilities

  • SCADA & OT System Integration Integrate SCADA platforms with enterprise systems, sensors, field devices, and data tools (e.g., AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA PI System). Ensure reliable operational data transfer to analytics platforms, dashboards, and digital monitoring systems. Troubleshoot SCADA-to-OT connectivity, network pathways, and data quality issues.
  • Operational Systems Connectivity Implement and maintain communication pathways between control systems, instrumentation, HMIs, plant equipment, and enterprise applications (e.g., CMMS, LIMS, GIS). Support integration workflows identified under UOSA’s Digital Maturity Assessment and Technology Governance initiatives. Enhance data interoperability across operational platforms (SCADA, LIMS, CMMS, Power BI, etc.).
  • Asset Monitoring & Predictive Maintenance Support Deploy and refine asset performance monitoring tools using operational, SCADA, CMMS, and sensor data. Support predictive analytics to anticipate equipment failures and minimize downtime—aligned with UOSA’s Proactive & Predictive Process Optimization objective. Collaborate with maintenance and operations to integrate data workflows into existing asset management processes.
  • Digital Twin Enablement Provide system connectivity, data structuring, and model support for digital twin use cases (scenario simulation, real‑time asset monitoring, operational forecasting). Ensure accurate data ingestion into digital models from plant systems (e.g., SCADA, PI, CMMS, LIMS). Support roadmap activities for adopting digital twin technologies as outlined in the RFP.
  • OT Infrastructure Support Evaluate, maintain, and optimize OT network infrastructure, control system architecture, and secure data pathways. Apply security principles consistent with NIST 800-82 guidance for OT environments (referenced in RFP skills requirements). Develop documentation, workflows, and system diagrams for OT‑related integrations.
  • Cross‑Functional Technical Collaboration Support operational teams in implementing data-driven improvements and visualizations (e.g., dashboards, alerts). Work alongside IT, Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance on integrated technology governance initiatives (RFP Section 2.2). Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, and training as needed.
