About The Position

The OT (Operational Technology) Systems Administrator will be focused on startup and operation of key computing systems at the field and datacenter locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for administration of the technology under pinning Generation Management Systems, Energy Management Systems, and Market Management Systems. Jupiter OT team integrates the foundational technology supporting the critical monitoring and control applications, remote operations and trading desks, and secured remote access to the company’s assets. This key role will be hands-on and deeply involved in the startup, configuration, and operation of Jupiter’s operational technology primarily focused on virtualization, storage, and computing resources, camera, and the software applications supporting the operation of this technology. Ideal candidate would have expertise and experience in one or more of the above areas. Candidate may be required to manage outside contractors during times of rapid growth. This position requires support of active construction projects and the candidate must be comfortable with periods frequent travel during busy times.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Hyper-V, or to a lesser extent VMWare
  • Windows Domain Administration,
  • DELL Unity Storage, Dell Servers
  • Ubuntu Linux system administration,
  • Experience working with power utility software systems, Generation Management, Energy Management, manufacturing, or power generation is preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience designing and supporting industrial or critical-infrastructure networks
  • Proven background supporting OT, utility, or industrial control system environments
  • Ability to travel to project sites and support field commissioning activities as required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Virtualization technology is fully operational, updated, and patched
  • Monitor and maintain the SAN/Storage to ensure 100% functionality
  • Support backup and disaster recovery efforts
  • Maintain windows domain environments
  • Maintain VPN and remote access technology linked to a single active directory.
  • Add and remove user accounts
  • Deploy monitoring technology and use it to maintain operational health
  • Develop and maintain NERC CIP patch management program and documentation
