About The Position

SUMMARY: The OSP Coordinator is responsible for preparing product for outside processing and serving as the primary communication link with external vendors. This role combines hands-on material handling with administrative coordination, including creating purchase orders, maintaining accurate ERP records, and ensuring timely updates on all OSP activity. Operating in a high-volume, fast-paced environment , the OSP Coordinator must manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and strong communication. The role provides daily updates to Planning, Customer Service, Operations, and Warehouse leadership, and supports shipping operations during slower OSP periods. A positive, professional demeanor is essential, as this position represents the company externally.

Requirements

  • Experience in outside processing, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of masking procedures and familiarity with grinding, painting, plating, or heat-treating processes.
  • Strong computer skills; Epicor ERP and Microsoft Excel experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for approximately 60% of the workday.
  • Positive, professional communication skills; must represent the company well externally.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment .

Responsibilities

  • Prepare product for outside processing with proper documentation and labeling.
  • Wrap, secure, and prepare skids to prevent transit damage.
  • Move, stage, and load materials; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform masking procedures according to specifications.
  • Inspect outgoing materials for packaging quality and shipment readiness.
  • Operate fork trucks to move or stage materials (forklift experience preferred).
  • Assist with shipping operations during slower OSP periods.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all outside processing vendors.
  • Request updates, track order status, and coordinate expedites as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate vendor pickups, deliveries, and workflow timing.
  • Create purchase orders in Epicor, ensuring accurate costs, routing, and order details.
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in the Epicor ERP system.
  • Provide daily OSP status updates to Planning, Customer Service, Operations, and Warehouse leadership.
  • Maintain detailed logs of vendor communication, shipments, and order progress.
  • Use Excel for reporting, tracking sheets, and data management.
