About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an Orthopedic Technician for the Neuro Intermediate Care unit. This is a Part Time, Day Shift weekends only position. Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm - Saturday and Sunday (16 hours per week). Department Overview: Join our 36-bed Neuro Intermediate Care unit! This Neuro Intermediate Care unit provides neuro care for stroke, seizure/epilepsy, craniology, neck and back surgery patients and more. Join this fast-paced, team-driven unit to learn new skills and provide care to a specialized population of patients! Under direct supervision of clinical staff and therapists, the Orthopedic Technician is responsible for preparing/cleaning treatment areas, positioning patients, procurement and inventory of supplies and transporting patients. Supporting both clerical and clinical staff in successful provision of treatment plans.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Nice To Haves

One year of acute care, care partner, healthcare, or patient care work experience (Preferred)
