Partners with healthcare team and assesses, prioritizes and provides care to clinic patient population. Meets specific requirements, goals, and competencies established within the Orthopedic clinic. Location: Greenfield Outpatient Clinic (3365 South 103rd St., Milwaukee, WI) Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:45 or 8:00am – 4:30 or 5:00pm) No evenings No weekends

Requirements

  • High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council within 90 Days required
  • Requires flexibility of time and duties in order to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with physicians, patients, parents and staff.
  • Familiarity with personal computer operations and functions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, providers, staff, and leadership.
  • Good analytical ability to observe and communicate problems as they arise.
  • Promotes courteous behavior as outlines in the department's guest relations’ guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years pediatric experience in orthopedics with proven competency in all relevant areas of practice preferred
  • CMA-Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants preferred
  • ORTHO-Orthopedic Technician - National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Technologists, Inc. preferred
  • Knowledge of orthopedic surgery instruments, orthopedic casting techniques, application of braces preferred.
  • Course work in biology or physics preferred
