About The Position
The Orthopedic Technician is responsible for a variety of clinical, environmental, and clerical tasks as directed by the orthopedic section professional staff (Clinic Nurse Manager, Service Line Director, Orthopedic Physicians, Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants). The technician assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations. At Children’s Mercy, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcomed within our walls. If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years experience
- Care assistant or experience in another type of patient care assistive role.
Responsibilities
- Provides supportive patient care.
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations.
- Shares responsibility for teaching and orientation of new personnel within own skill level.
