About The Position

Genesis Consulting is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Organizational Change Management Lead with a passion for growth and business transformation. Our client is seeking experienced professionals to support its Digital Transformation initiative through the implementation of a modern, cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The role involves providing Organizational Change Management services to streamline core business processes, including Human Capital Management, Financial Administration, Procurement, and Asset Management. Key responsibilities include developing implementation strategies, managing project governance, conducting business process fit-gap analyses, designing training programs, and driving organizational change to ensure successful adoption of the new ERP system. Ideal candidates will have experience with large-scale ERP implementations, strong leadership skills, and expertise in change management methodologies. This project is critical to the mission of improving operational efficiency and enhancing student outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience leading Organizational Change Management activities for large-scale technology, business transformation, or ERP implementations. Preferably with PeopleSoft, Oracle, and Workday.
  • Proven experience in successfully implementing cloud/SaaS ERP solutions for K-12 school districts or organizations of comparable size and complexity within the last five years.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, including employees, contractors, and solution vendors, with a focus on collaboration and effective communication.
  • Experience in post-deployment services to drive adoption, meet program metrics, and refine ERP functionality.
  • Familiarity with K-12 school district operations, including unique business processes, workflows, and challenges.
  • Capacity to work on-site in Portland, Oregon, with a resource model that emphasizes in-person engagement and collaboration. Demonstrated experience developing and executing enterprise change management strategies, governance models, and phased roadmaps aligned to program lifecycles.
  • Proven ability to conduct stakeholder analysis, job-role impact assessments, As-Is analyses, and readiness assessments to inform change planning and risk mitigation.
  • Hands-on experience defining and tracking change success metrics, adoption and usage KPIs, readiness dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
  • Experience designing and delivering workforce enablement initiatives, including training needs assessments, curriculum development, “day-in-the-life” scenarios, and knowledge transfer.
  • Strong background supporting adoption, cutover, and post-implementation stabilization, including managing change-related risks and dependencies across decentralized organizations (e.g., schools, field offices, or distributed locations).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Information Systems or related field.
  • Prosci / ADKAR certifications required.
  • Must be local to Portland with ability to be onsite as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall change management strategy, governance model, and phased roadmap aligned to program milestones, including defined decision-making, escalation paths, and approval structures.
  • Conduct As-Is analyses, stakeholder segmentation, and job-role impact assessments to baseline success metrics, identify dependencies, and inform targeted change and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Establish change success metrics, adoption and usage KPIs, readiness dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor progress and measure organizational readiness throughout the program.
  • Design and delivered communication, engagement, and workforce enablement initiatives, including “day-in-the-life” scenarios and tiered support models for business process owners at schools and decentralized locations.
  • Develop and manage an integrated risk and dependency model to proactively monitor, communicate, and address change-related risks across the program lifecycle.
  • Lead training and knowledge transfer efforts to ensure sustained adoption, including readiness and cutover support to enable smooth transitions during go-live and post-implementation stabilization.
