This role is for an Organ Recovery Coordinator Lead at LifeShare Carolinas, a department within Carolinas Medical Center. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with variable hours and is benefits eligible. The Lead will work under the supervision of LifeShare's medical director, rotating on-call medical director extender coverage, evaluating potential donor suitability, and managing LifeShare donors to optimize organ function using evidenced-based practice. The role involves precepting and mentoring Organ Recovery Coordinator III teammates, making and executing treatment and clinical care decisions, and performing diagnostics/procedures as necessary. The Lead will also coordinate and provide staffing for the Donor Care Center (DCC), serve as the intraoperative care provider, oversee DCC equipment management, lead policy development and quality improvement initiatives, and manage supply chain functions. Additionally, the role includes coordinating and delivering critical care donor management education, participating in new hire onboarding, and evaluating potential DCC donors with the medical director.
