About The Position

This role involves comprehensive order fulfillment, from initial customer requirements to timely delivery. Key responsibilities include liaising with sales for pricing and clarification, performing all phases of order processing such as entry, confirmation, purchasing buy-to-order materials, creating picklists and jobs, and managing customer records. The specialist will ensure accuracy and prompt processing of orders, follow up to improve on-time deliveries, and communicate changes effectively. Additionally, the role requires handling customer inquiries via phone and email regarding order status, stock, pricing, and tracking, maintaining detailed correspondence records, and fostering positive customer relationships. Monitoring order progress and coordinating with internal teams to meet delivery schedules is also crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Liaises with sales to confirm pricing and to clarify customer requirements
  • Performs all phases of order fulfillment process, including order entry, confirmation, purchasing buy-to-order materials, creating picklists and jobs, and management of other customer records
  • Enter customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing from quote to invoice
  • Follow up on customer orders to increase % of on-time deliveries, and prompt communication of changes
  • Answer phone calls and emails, qualify incoming calls and emails for proper routing and assistance
  • Assist customers with requests regarding order status, stock status, list pricing, tracking numbers, etc.
  • Keep written and/or electronic records of relevant customer correspondence for review
  • Develop friendly working relationships and positive rapport with customers
  • Monitors progress of orders to ensure it's following the schedule, communicating with all relevant employees to ensure delivery times are met and promptly communication
