About The Position

As an Order Entry Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring error-free order execution, fast cycle times, and seamless revenue enablement through disciplined systems use, proactive problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration. This role involves managing the integrity of the entire order lifecycle, from entry through delivery, to ensure on-time delivery, margin protection, and an excellent customer experience. You will use data, KPIs, and root cause analysis to continuously improve performance, reduce rework, and eliminate inefficiencies. The position requires strong collaboration with Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Logistics to anticipate risks, remove barriers, and drive solutions for business scalability. This role aims to build deep operational expertise, business acumen, and cross-functional influence, contributing to a high-performance, continuous improvement culture driven by training, competency mastery, and accountability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of college coursework.
  • Two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Demonstrates a strong ownership mindset, consistently delivering high-accuracy, high-quality results while prioritizing effectively to meet critical timelines.
  • Applies exceptional attention to detail to manage complex data, ensuring data integrity and error-free execution, and partners cross-functionally to resolve issues, remove barriers, and drive on-time order fulfillment.
  • Brings sound business acumen, with an understanding of gross margin, cost of goods sold, and profitability, using this to support informed decisions.
  • Navigates ambiguity with confidence, exercises strong judgment to balance business and customer needs, and maintains the highest level of professionalism while safeguarding confidential company and customer information.
  • Demonstrates advanced proficiency in ERP, CRM, and order management systems, ensuring accurate, efficient, and scalable transaction execution.
  • Utilizes technology and data systems to drive accuracy, visibility, and informed decision-making, not just transactional entry.
  • Maintains a high standard of data integrity through disciplined system usage and validation practices.
  • Leverages tools such as Microsoft Platforms: Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI and Business Central to analyze information, improve workflows, and support operational efficiency.
  • Possesses working knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes, enabling effective coordination and risk mitigation in order fulfillment.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret purchase orders, technical procedures, shipping documents, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write correspondence that is professional in both content and tone.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Lebermuth team members and customers.
  • Timely and responsive with a strong sense of urgency; flexible and adaptable; conceptual and forward thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver 100% order accuracy, ensuring all transactions are executed with precision and validated against customer, pricing, and operational requirements.
  • Drive on-time order fulfillment and cycle time reduction by proactively managing timelines, identifying risks early, and coordinating solutions across departments.
  • Act as the central point of accountability for the end-to-end order lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution from order entry through delivery.
  • Identify, investigate, and eliminate root causes of errors, rework, and delays to continuously improve operational performance.
  • Enable revenue by removing order-related barriers, ensuring orders flow efficiently without preventable disruptions or delays.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Logistics to optimize execution, prioritize critical orders, and align on business objectives.
  • Provide proactive, solution-oriented communication to customers and Account Executives, ensuring transparency and confidence throughout the order process.
  • Own the resolution of returns, discrepancies, and exceptions, ensuring timely, accurate, and customer-focused outcomes while preventing recurrence.
  • Maintain system and data integrity across ERP and CRM platforms, ensuring all information supports accurate forecasting, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Apply business acumen in daily decisions, balancing customer satisfaction, operational feasibility, and margin impact.
  • Continuously build product, process, and system knowledge to improve execution quality and support broader business initiatives.
  • Contribute to process improvements, SOP enhancements, and workflow optimization to increase efficiency and reduce variability.
  • Strives to promote a safe food culture by maintaining a clean and organized workspace and adhering to all quality and safety standards within the department to ensure the safe production and shipment of quality food products.
