About The Position

A Carter Lumber Order Entry Specialist takes and enters orders received in a timely and efficient manner. Handles complete processing of invoices. Adheres to procedures while processing data entry in a timely manner. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements

  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • Ability to review documents for accuracy
  • Ability to multi task, organize, prioritize and coordinate work activities
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for receiving stock and custom orders and entering them in the database.
  • Generates and forwards invoices for all orders.
  • Creates and provides various reporting as requested.
  • Provides support to the sales representatives by processing orders, scheduling shipments and answering general questions from customers.
  • Forwards any production issues to the proper departments to ensure issues are taken care of.
  • Acts as a backup for the Receptionist.
