About The Position

Customer-facing position in which purchase orders are taken from each customer or salesperson and are accurately input into a computer database. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and convey information effectively in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work scheduled work hours, along with occasional required overtime.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks and effectively self-manage time.
  • Ability to effectively use technology such as Microsoft Office software and ERP software (Sage software knowledge preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Acts as receptionist to main building.
  • Obtain customers’ names, addresses, billing information, product numbers, and purchase specifications, and enter this information into the ERP system.
  • Review orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forward incomplete orders for further processing.
  • Inform customers of order information such as unit prices, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays.
  • Check inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
  • Notify departments when supplies of specific items are low, or when orders would deplete available supplies.
  • Adjust inventory records to reflect product movement.
  • Calculate and compile order-related statistics and prepare reports for management.
