OR Support Associate at Surgi-Center of Central VA: Provides essential non-clinical support to the operating room, including positioning, equipment, maintaining a clean organized surgical environment. This role assist the surgical team by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready and the operating room is maintained for efficient and safe procedures.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Current CPR or BLS
  • Demonstrates necessary clinical competency

Responsibilities

  • Patient care in respect to positioning patient for OR procedures.
  • A strong understanding of sterile technique, OR room procedures, and patient safety protocols is crucial.
  • Room Setup: Preparing the OR by arranging instruments, supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Keeping OR clean and organized to ensure a sterile and efficient environment.
  • Supply Management: Managing surgical instruments, equipment, and other necessary supplies within the OR.
  • Team support: Providing overall support to the surgical team, contributing to a collaborative efficient workflow.
