About The Position

SIS is currently looking for a motivated team player with relevant experience to fill a position as an OR Support Specialist. The OR Support Specialist is responsible for the preparation, evaluation, and transportation of video equipment used in surgical procedures. The video equipment is set up according to preference cards, tested for proper function, and checked for expended materials. The OR Support Specialist must actively monitor equipment operation and function during scheduled surgical procedures and must be available by phone to address emergent issues. Ideal candidates might have experience in one of the following areas or professions: sterile processing surgical technician or technologist patient care assistance medical transporter other perioperative services What You Have To Bring That We Cannot Teach Integrity, energy, creativity, and a positive attitude Collaborative and team-first spirit: someone who looks for every opportunity to create a 'win' for others or serve others Critical thinking and good judgment, proven problem-solving attitude even in pressure situations (like the OR) Self-driven Attention to detail Computer savvy: Office 365, general comfort and competence. Requirements

  • Proof of Covid vaccination & recommended boosters
  • 2 years perioperative or medical experience
  • Valid basic life support certification from the American Heart Association
  • Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations, all with a good attitude
  • Required to frequently lift and move 10-50 pounds
  • Expected to stand, sit, walk, bend, talk, hear, smell, see, and operate tools, and controls
