In this role you will be: Maintaining perpetual inventories within each area’s budgetary guidelines. Verifying computations against stock and non-stock items, adjusting for errors, or investigating discrepancies. Compiling, reviewing, and maintaining data from contracts and purchase orders. Creating itemized purchase orders to mirror patient implant records that include Breast, CMF, Neurology, and Orthopedics. Calculating monthly statistics to maximize inventory performance. Working with AP to resolve invoice discrepancies. Monitoring capped pricing on frequently used orthopedic implants. Responsible for consignment inventory. Working with nursing service coordinators to monitor all supplies for the operating room from ophthalmology, urology, plastics, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, heart and vascular, neurology, orthopedics, and oral surgery. Conducting daily audits of hospital supplies to eliminate the possible use of expired items. Monitoring the OR schedule for upcoming cases that need specialty items. Working with AP to resolve invoice discrepancies to minimize match exceptions. Utilizing qualitative forecasting to meet the needs of the surgical staff. Working with the value analysis team to evaluate new items for the surgical staff. Communicating with purchasing to ensure that vendor contracts are current in GHX. Monitoring vendor sales and conversions to ensure compliance of GPO contracts. Comparing physical inventory records with purchase orders, invoices, or requisitions to verify accuracy and receipt of supplies. Communicating with all levels of management, vendors, and freight companies to include deliveries, backorders, and claims. Using professional telephone etiquette with a focus on customer satisfaction. Working with biomed for proper PM of OR equipment and submitting work orders for needed repairs. Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills. Able to identify and implement cost saving opportunities. Proficient in Meditech MM Information System and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledgeable about the sales community and hospital products.
