The Camera Semiconductor Technologies group is responsible for all research, design, development, test, and qualification of core technologies that enables revolutionary features on Apple products, such as FaceID and LiDAR Scanner. As an Optoelectronic Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and integrating test hardware intended for a mass production environment. You will craft and develop solutions for calibrating, characterizing, and testing semiconductor photonic devices for Apple products. You will work on test algorithm and hardware development during the engineering stage, with support from the SW/HW cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • BS degree
  • Experience working in semiconductor electro-optical test or related field
  • Experience managing external suppliers to deliver hardware solutions

Nice To Haves

  • MS or PhD degree
  • 3+ years of experience working with semiconductor optoelectronic test (i.e. lasers, image sensors, displays, LEDs)
  • Demonstrated capability to work with international teams and lead global suppliers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some knowledge and understanding of computer vision techniques (i.e. image processing)
  • Experience with high level, scientific computing languages like MATLAB or Python
  • Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation and bench-level components, including lens components, SMUs, spectrometers, colorimeters, metrology cameras
  • Work experience in a wafer fab environment
