Responsibilities

  • Develop Test Strategies to Maximize Test Coverage - This is a foundational step where the overall approach to testing new products is formulated.
  • Develop Simulators or Digital Twins to Enable Automated Design Verification of Embedded Systems - With strategies in place, develop tools that allow for early and thorough testing of designs.
  • Develop Automated Test Scripts and Software Applications used by the Product Development Staff to Test New Product Interfaces, Connectivity and Benchmark Performance of New Products - Utilize simulators and digital twins to develop detailed test scripts and software that will be used throughout the product development.
  • Execute Detailed Design of Automated Factory Test Solutions including hardware & software elements to meet product, quality, cost, and test requirements outlined in Production Test Plans - Transition from product design verification to preparing for production by designing automated test solutions that integrate both hardware and software elements.
  • Develop and Deploy Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Capability metrics into Factory Test Systems - With test solutions in place, enhance them by integrating process control metrics to ensure quality and consistency in manufacturing.
  • Debug Factory Test System Issues using Design of Experiments and Failure Analysis methodologies - As factory test systems are deployed, continuously improve these systems by troubleshooting and resolving issues using structured methodologies.
  • Work closely with Product Development and Operations Resources to Execute Pilot Production and Manufacturing Process Qualification - Before full-scale production, conduct pilot production runs to qualify the manufacturing processes and ensure the product meets all specifications.
  • Publish Test Procedures, Test Specifications, and Acceptance Criteria for New Products - Finalize and document all test procedures, specifications, and criteria that will govern production and quality assurance.
