About The Position

SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring packaging equipment is used and maintained in a proper and orderly manner consistent with company standards External Requirement: Must have 6 months work history, 3-months operator experience preferred. Rehire Consideration: Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire. 90 days (3 months) waiting period. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: • Follow proper company safety standards and report any/all non-compliance immediately to area supervisor, including proper stretching/ergonomic programs as specified. • Training and compliance with Company Finished Product Specifications (FPS). • Training and compliance with Company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). • Control and assurance of proper lot ID item production based on specified production plan. • Ensure required production and efficiency goals are gathered, verified and met for shift. • Communicate progress to goal consistently during the shift to relevant area supervisor and line/area associates. • Maintain area waste prevention measures and ensure a clean working area at all times throughout the shift. • Control and reduce product downgrades (“fallout”). • All other duties assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality • Must be able to read product label by numbers • Ability to carry out essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, within safety guidelines • Ability to wear, use and maintain personal protective equipment • Ability to follow safety policies and procedures Physical Requirements / Environment: • Stand/Walk: Continuously (up to 4 hours before 1st break) • Lift/Carry: Continuously (20 – 50 lbs.) • Simple/Firm Grasping: Frequently • Other Physical Requirements: o Bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder (up to 1 ft.): Occasional • Environment: Continuously - Working around moving machinery, working in a cold, slippery and damp environment (28-34 degrees F). This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
