About The Position

Configure and manage GitHub organization, repositories, and access controls for student project teams Set up and document workflows for AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) Implement project management platforms (Trello, Jira, or similar) and establish standard workflows Create documentation and templates for development best practices, code reviews, and deployment processes Establish CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks Ensure compliance with UF IT policies and security standards Provide technical onboarding support for student teams and faculty advisors

Requirements

• Currently enrolled UF undergraduate or graduate student or a recent graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Strong experience with Git/GitHub including organization management, branching strategies, and collaborative workflows
• Familiarity with modern development tools and IDEs
• Experience with project management tools and Agile methodologies
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)
• Knowledge of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Previous experience in technical leadership or mentorship roles
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
