The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented individual to join the cultural resources team within the Division of Recreation and Parks. This position will focus on the digitization, organization, and archiving of historic documents and objects. As part of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the Florida Park Service manages 175 state parks and trails statewide, with a mission to: "provide resource-based recreation while preserving, interpreting, and restoring natural and cultural resources." This position supports the Florida Park Service’s central collection of historic documents and objects. The OPS Government Operations Consultant I (Collections & Archives Technician) position is located within the Bureau of Natural and Cultural Resources (BNCR) in Tallahassee, Florida. This is a part-time OPS position (up to 29 hours a week. Workdays and hours are flexible, but work must be accomplished between Monday and Friday during regular work hours).
