About The Position

Work involves collection, analysis and presentation of data related to criminal activity investigated by agency personnel. Initiates research projects related to sophisticated or complex criminal activity to determine structure, scope of operation, capabilities and weaknesses. Develops biographical profiles of persons, businesses or organizations suspected of being involved in criminal activities; indexes information for case management and intelligence purposes. Prepares oral briefings, written reports, charts and analytical assessments upon request. Provides analysis/reports of officer activities, targeted enforcement efforts, targeted species protection efforts, time periods, complaints, etc., to assist in law enforcement operations and to improve customer service. Provides data analysis and reports to assist in law enforcement operations. BOLOs/Intelligence Bulletins (Production and Distribution), charting and mapping and photo lineups. Conduct threat assessments to support investigations and special details. Monitor Incoming FWC Intel, Intel Portal, Intel email/phone. Monitoring FWC Threat Groups and events on social media. Maintain contact with federal, state, regional, and local intelligence and investigative units to ensure the effective and efficient collection, assessment, and sharing of intelligence and information. Develop and maintain up-to-date intelligence to include updating the Intel Portal. Complete Tips that are received by the Intel Unit.

Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a level 2 background check
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Must be available to travel for presentations throughout the state.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to work in a law enforcement environment and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of research and intelligence analysis techniques.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize criminal intelligence data.
  • Ability to write reports, investigative summaries and memoranda resulting from information analysis.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
