For more information, visit Company: Grand Rapids Ophthalmology Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician Lead Department: Ophthalmology Reports To: Clinic Supervisor Location: This position is located in Greenville, MI Position Overview: Monitor daily clinic flow including employee assignments in addition to responsibilities such as technical and clerical functions. Works closely with clinic leaders to coordinate schedules and assist in promoting an efficient and productive clinic. Assists Physicians with examinations, testing, treatments and administrative duties

Responsibilities

  • Updates and communicates practice policies and procedures to clinical staff.
  • Acts as a liaison between clinic leadership and the clinic staff.
  • Provides input to clinic leadership to improve clinic efficiency and productivity.
  • Assists the clinic leader in the training and evaluation of clinical staff. May be asked to provide input to clinic leaders for employee reviews.
  • Monitors clinical staff for compliance with clinic policies.
  • Monitors team hours to minimize overtime and make changes to the schedule as patient flow allows, communicating to the clinic leader when appropriate.
  • Maintains knowledge of all aspects of the clinic, such as front desk, medical records, surgery scheduling, and contact center for coordination purposes.
  • Completes tasks requested by Physicians and delegates as appropriate.
  • Assists in triage for patient calls and walk-ins (go to person on the team).
  • Other duties as assigned.
