About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a OPEX Manufacturing Engineer. This role is based at our Arden, NC facility. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing a broad range of engineering support to manufacturing operations and plant facility maintenance; provide project responsibility for the execution of complex projects and project assignments within the Operational Excellence department; develop engineering and process control documentation for manufacturing needs; provide coordination and technical guidance to production personnel as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a technical field from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years of Manufacturing or Industrial Experience
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Arden, NC to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Training and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC and related software (Microsoft Office, ERP SAP, AS400, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 tactics and strategies

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication and assembly processes, tooling and fixturing design and applications.
  • Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing and its procedures and processes through improved layout and material handling procedures.
  • Train factory operators in the use of equipment, tooling and procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee changes and upgrades to the manufacturing facility.
  • Leading events such as Shop Floor and Rapid Improvement Events to achieve factory cost-out targets in your support area.
  • Conduct a line capacity analysis and lead labor productivity improvement initiatives to achieve the business objective.
  • Specify, design, quote, install, debug, and maintain equipment for use in manufacturing.
  • Support Eaton’s digitization initiatives with the implementation of manufacturing execution systems (MES) in shop floor, electronic data presentation, Industry 4.0, and automation.
  • Support other key plant processes and provide cross-functional support as directed.
  • Design processes utilizing PFMEA, document controls, method sheets, standard operating procedures, etc.
