About The Position

Join our team as a Waste/Wastewater Treatment Operator, responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness, performing routine equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This seasonal role supports high-volume operations during peak hotel season, helping to ensure safe and efficient waste treatment and maintain required certifications.

Requirements

Current certifications of level II WTP Operator and level II WWTP Operator, as administered by the State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation.
Valid Driver's License (not revoked or suspended) with fewer than three moving violations.
Minimum age of 18 years to operate service vehicles and maintenance equipment.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and will be a part of our random drug testing program.
Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to all guests, coworkers, and vendors.
Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots hotel facility wastewater treatment plants, collection, and processing of domestic wastewater, drinking water treatment, and distribution systems.
Completes maintenance on treatment equipment including pumps, motors, and blowers.
Completes light-duty maintenance on rolling equipment.
Maintains operation maintenance and repair records.
Work in confined space entries to repair or clean equipment and tanks.
