About The Position

Equix Energy Services, LLC is a utility construction service company with locations throughout the southern region of the United States. Current construction services focus primarily on the underground installation of natural gas distribution piping along with power and telecom infrastructure. We currently have a full-time opening for an Operator Qualifications Trainer & Evaluator to support the southern region natural gas construction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with client-required Operator Qualification programs such as Isnetworld, Midwest Energy Association, ITS, Energy-worldnet OQ systems.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in construction/installation of Natural Gas piping and facilities
  • Communication skills to train and mentor workforce
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Travel will be required for this position to do field visits to ensure overall program compliance
  • Knowledge of DOT Operator Qualification Rules and appropriate field application required
  • Must possess the ability to organize and prioritize work, have a focus on details and follow established policies and procedures
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel throughout the southeast parts of the US.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present and train groups on applicable material

Responsibilities

  • Submits training documentation including initial and refresher training records, outlines of training and training schedules
  • Performs Operator Qualification (OQ) training and evaluations for field personnel performing regulated DOT Pipeline work in field and classroom setting.
  • Performs initial training requirements for each employee and ensures it is completed satisfactorily to customers' requirements.
  • Assists with coordinating and scheduling OQ training and oversee adherence to requirements by doing field quality control inspections to further correct, coach and train field crews as needed
  • Submits record-keeping requirements for all associated qualifications and ensure program is in compliance
  • Assists in monitoring and updating programs as necessary to stay compliance with regulations.
