Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in B2B sales support, customer experience, lead qualification, inside sales or account management is required.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and lead management tools.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient working with office-based productivity tools, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook) highly preferred.
  • Data Hygiene: Ability to manage, organize, and maintain accurate data within digital systems.
  • Comfortable learning new software tools and adapting to evolving technology and internal processes.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent time management skills.
  • Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and interdepartmental coordination.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing workflows, products, and processes.
  • Familiarity of sales funnels, lead scoring models, marketing automation tools, and B2B sales cycles.
  • Ability to assess business needs, including swiftly determining lead priority/fit.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for maintaining data integrity and supporting process efficiency.
  • Comfort balancing data-centric work with direct customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Review & Qualification
  • Evaluate inbound leads using predefined criteria and distribute appropriately to Sales Representatives or the proper marketing tracks.
  • Engage potential customers across different platforms (phone/email/live chat) by asking qualifying questions to uncover needs, build rapport, assess interest, and promote product alignment.
  • As necessary, follow-up on customer inquiries, open quotes, and renewal opportunities
  • Provide support and coverage for Sales Representatives due to time off, travel, or workload overflow ensuring early stage follow up and customer needs are met promptly.
  • Data Management & Process Execution
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM, including notes, statuses, tags, and lead source details.
  • Monitor lead flow, perform data cleansing, and ensure funnel hygiene.
  • Manage sequences and follow-up cadences for timely outreach and efficient lead movement through the funnel.
  • Identify recurring routing, coverage, or data issues and escalate for correction.
  • Verify territory ownership and correct misrouted or misclassified accounts.
  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate interdepartmentally to ensure seamless transition and experience for our customers.
  • Own the intake and transfer of all potential sales opportunities originating from Customer Service.
  • Apply a heightened sense of urgency when identifying sales-ready leads to ensure rapid engagement by the appropriate Outside or Inside Sales Representative.
  • Support special initiatives, reporting, or administrative tasks assigned.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze qualification outcomes and provide feedback on lead sources, scoring thresholds, or process gaps.
  • Assist with training or onboarding new team members on CRM and lead-handling processes as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or improve workflows.
